I’ve read quite a bit about keyword density [the number of times your keywords appear in the body of your page] and I’m a little skeptical as the pages I’ve seen packed with keywords just seem a turnoff.
The best piece of advice I read was very simple in that you should make sure your pages read well for your visitors as it is content that makes them stay not keywords. (McGovern, 2006; Veloso, 2005; Mill,2005)
Personally I think you are better having good consistency between page titles and content as this seems to be accepted as more important from an optimisation perspective.
