Keyword Density

I’ve read quite a bit about keyword density [the number of times your keywords appear in the body of your page] and I’m a little skeptical as the pages I’ve seen packed with keywords just seem a turnoff.

The best piece of advice I read was very simple in that you should make sure your pages read well for your visitors as it is content that makes them stay not keywords. (McGovern, 2006; Veloso, 2005; Mill,2005)

Personally I think you are better having good consistency between page titles and content as this seems to be accepted as more important from an optimisation perspective.

There are some keyword density tools out there. Try the RANK.NL keyword density and prominence v.1.2.4
